Well I took Zimond's advice and added graphic text to my Verb Coin so people won't get confused what the hands are for. Here's what it looks like inside the game. Thanks for your help guys

Ya, I personally could not understand which hand belongs to which command.

Btw.. your coin-menu has a... ahm, how to say it in english^^... sharp edge.

Your coin looks a bit grainy.

I tried to make some softer edges: It's just a demonstration how it would look better.

The coin becomes transparent in the outer regions...

Just a suggestion^^.

Wow, Schiman, that is so cool. How did you do that. I've noticed that some objects and scenes in the game do that, but these graphics are old from when I first started out. That Verb Coin is about 3 or 4 years old. But it looks so much better. Give me the heads up on how you did it. Thanks for the help.

Ahm... I used Photoshop^^. It's not difficult, you can do things with Photoshop which are a lot cooler than this ;).

If u want to use the new Coin, here is the "Only-Coin-Without-Icons"-version^^.

You can save it by rightlicking at the picture.

Hey Schiman, thank you for the coin and the info. I have PS that's what I used to make my coin with, but I don't know what happened to it why it went jagged on the edges. I think what I did was tried to make it smaller because it was too big and it ended up with those weird edges.

I have the tutorial for making an eclipse. I'll download your pic, thank you once again. It looks great. Take care

No Prob^^. I recommend a Photoshop Tutorial to you.
I think you are going to understand PS more and better.

I love working with PS, cause it has A LOT of options to work with graphics.
Well but I first had to learn how to use it^^. (And I still don't know many things).

You can find many tutorials in the web, if you want to.

Hi Schiman, thanks again. I use both PS and PSP. I love PSP's Picture Tubes. I find they cut down on a lot of tedious work.

I've got a lot of learning to do after this game is finished, if it ever gets finished. It's about 20% debugged right now and a long way to go still.

Have you seen the new CS4 yet. Wow! It has panoramic, which I could do without, that kind of game makes me violently ill. The problem with programs like PS is you could spend a lifetime working with it and still not know every aspect of it.

I wish I could learn animation. I seen a movie program that looked good called MovieStorm. But I don't like to work online, also I couldn't get their program to access their own site.

I'm seeing some promising things going on with Google Sketchup, it seems to be compatible with a lot of programs now. I went over to their site last night and that is one program I've got to try to learn.

So much learning and not enough brain cells. I envy people with photographic memories and can catch on fast. I wish I were so lucky.

I know Good-Tutorials and Tutoralize are good sites.

The next game is going to be a Sci-Fi, it took me 3 hours to read it from beginning to end, I can't imagine what it's going to take to make it, so I'd better brush up. Well I'm off, take care for now and happy creating :comp:

Hi Schiman, I tried your Coin background and it looks great. It's a lot better than the old one. Here's the pic. Thank you for doing this I greatly appreciate it very much.

ya, I see it every day when I use the application ;).
Well the new features aren't usable for me and my project... but nevertheless they are pretty cool.

Btw, the coin looks really better now^^, I think there could still be some enhancement. But atm I don't have an idea.

Hi Schiman, I know what you mean about CS4, I'm still using CS2. For what I need it for it's fine, plus I use the brushes, textures and styles myself and a lot of them are not compatible with the newer versions of PS.

I think the coin is fine the way it is. I'm not much of a perfectionist except when it comes to sound. There's nothing worse than thumping feedback. Well I'm off, didn't feel much like using the computer today, maybe I'll work on Roanoke later tonight. Take care for now. :comp:
