Hey Zimond, At the moment as far as I can tell it's only 3 ogg files. This is the furthest I've gotten in this game so there could be more. I'm really flying on this project now and very pleased with the results I'm getting. I'll try running the setup and see what happens. Thank you for the reply. T...

Sound Problems

Good day fellow creators, I'm making great progress with Roanoke, but I'm having a bit of trouble with a few voice sounds. I used Audacity to record the voices for my game. They used to work but all of a sudden about 3 of the female voice text lines won't work. When I play them back in the media fil...

Another thing that could be happening and I've done this a lot till I figured out what was happening, when I'd click the Save Project button it takes a bit to save. So instead of waiting till the Save Project button was clear, I'd hit the Create Game button before the Project was saved. Then I would...

Anyone Interested In FREE Excellent Music

Good day my fellow Creators, Just stopped by to drop off this juicy little nugget. I stumbled upon this wonderfully gifted and talented artist over at MovieStorm by the name of Run415, who has a site full of terrific music that can be used in games, movies or even if you just want something to relax...

Same Olde Problem

Hey everyone, I'm back with an olde problem I had before. I can't understand what I do to this script to stop it from working. At one point it worked and now it won't. Could someone tell me what I am doing wrong please. These three puzzles are stopping me from advancing in this game. If I can't get ...

Hi Zimond, thank you for the reply. I understand now what it means. I just couldn't figure out that one line. Thank you for explaining it to me. This is one of the most difficult puzzle for me in the game. I'm hoping that once I get past that one it will be smooth sailing. I'm keeping my fingers cro...

Sliderbar Question

Hello everyone. Would someone mind explaining something to me so I can understand what I am doing. I have reached the part of my game where I have to put together a ripped up note. I am using the script from the Sliderbar demo. I think I pretty much got the hang of it but there is just one line I ca...

Do you have an onboard sound card. If you do you might have to shut off the Sound accelerators in DirectX. I have to do that when I'm working on my game. Just remember to turn them back on when you're playing commercial games.

Hi Schiman, I know what you mean about CS4, I'm still using CS2. For what I need it for it's fine, plus I use the brushes, textures and styles myself and a lot of them are not compatible with the newer versions of PS. I think the coin is fine the way it is. I'm not much of a perfectionist except whe...

Hi Schiman, thanks again. I use both PS and PSP. I love PSP's Picture Tubes. I find they cut down on a lot of tedious work. I've got a lot of learning to do after this game is finished, if it ever gets finished. It's about 20% debugged right now and a long way to go still. Have you seen the new CS4 ...

Hey Schiman, thank you for the coin and the info. I have PS that's what I used to make my coin with, but I don't know what happened to it why it went jagged on the edges. I think what I did was tried to make it smaller because it was too big and it ended up with those weird edges. I have the tutoria...

Wow, Schiman, that is so cool. How did you do that. I've noticed that some objects and scenes in the game do that, but these graphics are old from when I first started out. That Verb Coin is about 3 or 4 years old. But it looks so much better. Give me the heads up on how you did it. Thanks for the h...

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that I did what Zimond told me and that worked out, but I'm still wondering about the Action Text Line. Hi Baelavay That's why I suppose you have a showinfo(Look;true) in your "Picture" object. No, I think the problem must be with the Coin. Here is the script for the Picture on(mouse) showinfo(Painting ; true) on(click) walkto(self;21;15;1) on(look) { minicut() speech(self; This is a paintin...

Hi Baelavay, The object doesn't contain a "showinfo(Look;true)", does it? Yes it does. I've tried it both as true and false and still get the same problem. Although when combining items it shows up in the Action Text line as Use glass with pills or Give books to Librarian But when it comes...

Hey everyone, I have a question concerning the Verb Coin. I never really noticed this before so I'm not sure if this is suppose to happen or not. Here's my problem. Rendering SketchUp models with Kerkythea

I wasn't sure where to put this message. If this isn't the right place then maybe someone could move it where it belongs. Here is a little nugget for the SketchUp Googlers out there. I haven't had a chance to try this program out myself but it looks promising. If anyone has tried it and would like t...
